Ingredients

  • 1 English muffin

Optional Toppings

  • butter to taste
  • jam to taste
  • peanut butter to taste

Instructions

  • Split the English muffins in half using a kitchen knife or a paring knife. You can also separate the two pieces using a fork.
  • If preparing multiple English muffins, complete this step with the remaining muffins.
  • Add the English muffin halves to the air fryer basket with the cut side facing up.
  • Air fry for 3 to 4 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the English muffin has reached your desired level of doneness. If your air fryer runs hot, try checking after 2 minutes to ensure they don't burn.
  • Add your favorite toppings: butter, jam or preserves, honey, peanut butter, or cream cheese are all popular options.
  • Serve!

Notes

General
  1. Estimated calories are for one English muffin with no toppings.
  2. Use tongs to remove the English muffin from the air fryer to avoid burning your fingers.
  3. Air fryers can vary in size and temperature. Be sure to check your English muffin early if your air fryer runs hot. If your English muffin is not completely toasted by 4 minutes, let it cook for another minute or so.
Storage and Reheating
  1. Fridge Toasted English muffins will only remain crispy for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator. If you store it in an airtight container, you may prolong its crispiness for about 24 hours.
  2. Freezer I do not recommend freezing already toasted English muffins. You can, however, freeze untoasted English muffins for about 3 months.
  3. Reheating To reheat toasted English muffins from the fridge, you can put them in the air fryer for a few minutes until they are warmed through.
  4. From Frozen To reheat frozen English muffins, you can thaw them at room temperature, or place them in the microwave, unwrapped, for about 30 seconds, then toast the English muffins.
