What You'll Need for Lemon Cucumber Water with Mint

- Cucumber I used Persian cucumber here, but any type of cucumber will work well for this water. If using a regular slicing cucumber, peeling the cucumber can enhance the cucumber flavor (but it's not necessary).
- Lemon Seedless lemons are great here, but use whatever you have on hand. Just be sure to remove any seeds before placing the lemon slices in the water. I don't recommend using bottled lemon juice here.
- Mint Fresh mint leaves add freshness and lightness to this tasty cucumber lemon water.
- Water You can use regular, filtered water here or try sparkling water!
How to Make Cucumber Lemon Mint Water
Step One Slice the lemon and cucumber. For very fine slices, you can use a mandoline as pictured above.
Step Two Add the lemon, cucumber, and mint to a large pitcher of room temperature or cold water and muddle a bit. Let infuse for at least 30 minutes or so. Serve or store for later!
Recommended Equipment
Kitchen Knife or Mandoline Slicer
Variations
- Add different fresh herbs to the water, like basil, for a different fresh flavor.
- Sparkling water can be used in place of still water.
- Switch up your citrus by using limes, oranges, or even grapefruit in this water.
- You can infuse the water with just about any citrus fruit or fresh herbs for a refreshing drink!
How to Store
Fridge This water is best stored in a pitcher in the fridge so the lemon, cucumber, and mint infused water continue to impart their flavor into the water.
You can also pour it into smaller batches in water bottles. Any fruit-infused water can be stored for up to 3 days in the fridge. If it is unrefrigerated, it will last for 1 day.
Feel free to play with the serving size by using the serving tool adjustment in the recipe card below. Just click on the number next to "Servings" in the recipe card.
Freezer If you'd like, freeze your citrus in the freezer overnight and use it in your water as flavored ice cubes. They will thaw slowly in the fridge.
I recommend straining fruit-infused water and freezing it in ice cube trays or popsicle molds. Once frozen, move to a resealable plastic or silicone bag.
For the best flavor, use frozen infused water within 3 to 4 weeks.
